MET Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established independent accident repair centre in Swanwick, Hampshire, looking for a highly skilled MET Technician to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced vehicle technician to progress their career within a reputable and family-run business.

Duties:

• Stripping and refitting vehicle parts to ensure precise and efficient repairs
• Preparing vehicles for paint, panel work, and assembly
• Diagnosing vehicle faults and implementing appropriate repair procedures
• Ensuring all work complies with industry, manufacturer, and safety standards
• Accurately recording parts, materials, and labour used on each vehicle
• Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment as theMET Technician
• Working collaboratively within a team of experienced professionals
• Safeguarding customer vehicles and handling additional repairs or damages as identified
• Using alignment equipment accurately and correctly interpreting technical instructions
• Completing repairs within estimated times and ensuring high standards of quality

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle MET Technician in a main dealer or independent garage
• ATA, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications are highly advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving license
• Strong communication skills as theMET Technician
• Commitment to high-quality standards in vehicle repair
• Experience in vehicle dismantling, reassembly, and component fitting
• Ability to interpret technical data and follow safety protocols
