Location: Northampton
Salary: 35,000-40,000 per annum

Requirements

• Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
• Previous experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or property development environment
• Good understanding of UK planning policy and legislation
• MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership is desirable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
• A proactive, commercially minded approach to planning

Responsibilities

• Managing and progressing planning applications from initial appraisal through to determination
• Preparing planning statements, reports and supporting documentation
• Undertaking site appraisals and assessing development potential
• Liaising with local planning authorities, clients, consultants and other stakeholders
• Supporting planning appeals, pre-application submissions and strategic land promotion
• Attending client meetings, site visits and planning consultations
• Contributing to the successful delivery of residential and mixed-use development projects
