Labouring Assistant (Temporary 3-Week Contract)

Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm
We are recruiting for a Labouring Assistant to join a leading equipment hire and services business that supports construction, industrial, facilities management, utilities, and infrastructure projects across the UK. Known for its commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence, the company provides a wide range of specialist equipment and solutions that help keep projects moving efficiently.
This is a temporary 3-week contract based at their Basildon site, offering full-time hours and an immediate start.
The Role
As a Labouring Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the site's day-to-day operations and helping to maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Keeping workshop and yard areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards
• Assisting with the cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Supporting the Maintenance Operator with general labouring duties
• Moving equipment and materials around the site when required
• Assisting with housekeeping duties across the facility
• Following all health and safety procedures and site standards
• Carrying out other general duties as requested by the site team

About You

• Previous labouring, warehouse, yard, or industrial experience would be advantageous
• Willingness to work outdoors and in a hands-on environment
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
