Temporary Accounts Assistant
Nottingham
Office based - 1 day work from home after successful training period
Eaton Syalon are working with our Nottingham based client to recruit a temporary Accounts Assistant into their Finance team. The role will be initially a 3-month temporary role, reporting into the Head Of Finance. You'll support with a mix of transactional accounts work, whilst support the Head of Finance with Month-end tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the month end accounts preparation
-Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, correction and other month end journals as required
-Ownership of the Accounts Payable inbox
-Ownership of supplier queries and providing timely internal and external responses
-Ownership of maintaining the Accounts Payable tracker
-Raise Purchase Orders as required
-Support with producing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
-Support any upcoming transitions into new systems and tools
-Support with raising sales invoices with the Revenue Accountant
-Support with maintaining customer contracts in the Finance system
-Support with bank reconciliations and postings
- Assist with Accounts Receivable aged debt collection
-Assist with cashflow reporting
-Support VAT return preparation
Person Profile:
- Will have varied transactional / month-endexperience, most likely having worked as an Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant most recently
- Strong Excel skills
- SAP experience preferred but isn't essential
- The ability to hold conversations with all levels of business
- Must be able to commit to the initial 3-month temporary period
- Must be available to start week commencing 2nd November
