Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Job Type: Permanent, Full time, 8am-5pm - Monday to Friday
Location: Ongar
Salary: £35,000 per annum

Company & Project:

Our client, a well-known family run social housing contractor is currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting for planned maintenance, refurbishment, and responsive repairs.
• Prepare cost estimates, measure works, and review contractor quotations and payment applications.
• Monitor project expenditure, assess variations, and support final account settlements.
• Conduct site visits to verify completed works, quality, and contractor claims.
• Liaise with contractors, project managers, and housing teams to ensure value for money.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and support compliance with contractual, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
