The Role

In this position, you will oversee the accurate delivery of our high-volume payroll while acting as a vital mentor to our payroll administrators. You will tackle complex pay structures unique to the healthcare sector and ensure compliance across the board.

Key Responsibilities

Team Mentorship: Lead, support, and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
High-Volume Processing: Oversee the end-to-end processing of a large-scale, fast-paced payroll.
Complex Compliance: Manage complex payroll elements including healthcare shift differentials, enhancements, overtime, bank staff, and varying pension schemes (e.g., NHS or private).
Process Improvement: Streamline payroll workflows to support business scaling and system upgrades.
Query Resolution: Serve as the escalation point for complex pay queries, ensuring swift and empathetic resolution for our frontline healthcare staff.

What We Are Looking For

Proven Experience: Strong background running high-volume, end-to-end payroll operations.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of complex payroll variables (shift patterns, medical staff pay structures, and multi-site compliance).
Leadership Skills: A natural mentor with a passion for supporting and coaching junior colleagues.
Adaptability: Comfortable navigating fast-paced organizational growth and change.
