Hybrid – 4 days office / 1 day WFH

We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a busy and collaborative finance team based in Hayes, following an internal promotion within the team .
This is a varied role with responsibility for employee expenses and finance administration , alongside providing support across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Management Accounting . It would suit someone with previous transactional finance experience who is keen to broaden their knowledge and develop their career within a wider finance function.
The Role You will take ownership of the day-to-day administration of employee expenses and corporate credit cards, ensuring claims are processed accurately and in line with company policies.
Alongside this, you will provide flexible support across the wider Finance team, assisting with areas including:

• Processing and reviewing employee expenses and corporate card transactions
• Managing expense queries and supporting employees with the expense process
• Maintaining company vehicle, fuel card and contract records
• Supporting Accounts Payable with invoice processing, supplier queries and reconciliations
• Supporting Accounts Receivable with cash allocation, customer accounts and outstanding balances
• Assisting with month-end activities, reconciliations and reporting
• Supporting audit requests and finance projects
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls
• Providing general finance administration and cover across the team when required

About You We are looking for someone with previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or similar finance role .
You will ideally have:

• Good understanding of basic finance processes and controls, including expense management
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Team player
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders
• A proactive and adaptable approach
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• A genuine willingness to learn and develop across different areas of finance

Experience with Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, expense management systems or an ERP system would be advantageous.
Working Hours & Benefits

• Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (40 hours per week)
• 4 days office-based in Hayes, Middlesex
• Friday working from home
• 25 days' holiday
