Senior Building Surveyor

Conrad Consulting is working with a leading property and building consultancy seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join their Bedfordshire team.

The role is predominantly project focused , providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of refurbishment, alteration, maintenance and improvement projects.

You will be responsible for delivering projects from initial feasibility through to completion, including:

• Project management
• Contract administration
• Preparation of specifications and tender documentation
• Procurement and tender analysis
• Site inspections and project monitoring
• Contractor management
• Defect diagnosis and remedial works
• Planned maintenance and major refurbishment
• Technical due diligence
• Building surveys and condition reports
• Client reporting and project updates
• Managing project programmes and budgets

You will work closely with clients, contractors and other professional consultants, providing a high level of technical and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate

• MRICS qualified
• Strong project-focused Building Surveying experience
• Consultancy experience
• Proven experience managing refurbishment and alteration projects
• Good JCT contract administration knowledge
• Strong technical and specification-writing skills
• Excellent client-facing skills
• Ability to manage projects independently
