Academic Teaching Assistant - South East London

Full-Time | 8:30am-4:00pm | Start ASAP

Remedy Education are looking for a strong, highly academic Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a mainstream secondary school in South East London .

This role would suit someone who is confident academically and particularly strong in English and Maths . You will be supporting secondary-aged pupils with their learning and helping them stay focused and engaged throughout the school day.

The role will involve:

• Supporting pupils across the secondary curriculum
• Providing 1:1 and small-group academic support
• Helping pupils with English and Maths
• Supporting classroom learning and interventions
• Encouraging pupils to stay focused and engaged
• Working alongside teachers to support pupil progress
• Helping pupils build confidence and independence

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong academic ability, particularly in English and Maths
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils
• Previous Teaching Assistant or education experience
• Excellent communication skills
• A confident and professional approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
