Welder

We’re looking for a Welder to join a specialist fabrication business based Stretford .

This is a role suited to someone with at least 5 years of welding experience , as you will be carrying out MIG, TIG and stick welding across bespoke fabrication and repair work.

What’s on offer?

• £17 – £17.50 p/h
• Mon – Thu | 7:30am – 4pm
• Fri | 7:30am – 3pm
• Overtime paid at 1.25x | 1.5x at weekends
• 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Pension contribution

What will you be doing as a Welder?

• Carrying out MIG, TIG and stick welding on mild and stainless steel
• Working with materials ranging from 1.5mm to 40mm, with approximately 70% of the work involving mild steel
• Working from drawings, samples or copies
• Welding pipework and producing short pipe spools
• Completing bespoke welding and small fabrication work
• Building up bearing surfaces ready for finish machining
• Repairing bearing housings and reinforcing bosses and bushes
• Repairing brackets, linkages, railings, stairs, fences, doors and water equipment

What will you need?

• At least 5 years of welding experience
