Our client, a leading main contractor based in Hertfordshire, is seeking a Project Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. Operating across London projects, this business is cash rich, has excellent staff retention, a full order book, and continues to secure major planned refurbishment frameworks across the social housing sector.

Recognised as a market leader within their field, our client delivers a range of planned refurbishment programmes including internal and external works, alongside major SHDF decarbonisation and fire remediation projects.

The successful candidate will initially be allocated to a £15m p/a L&Q framework , reporting directly into an experienced Commercial Manager . The programme consists of SHDF works and planned external refurbishment projects across occupied social housing environments, providing exposure to major decarbonisation and improvement programmes within a live resident setting.

The successful individual will play a key role in the commercial delivery of these schemes and will ideally have previous experience working on similar planned refurbishment projects, with a strong understanding of the challenges associated with delivering works in occupied environments.

Key requirements:
• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
• Experience delivering social housing planned refurbishment projects
• Exposure to occupied refurbishment programmes would be highly advantageous
• Experience on external refurbishment and/or SHDF projects would be beneficial
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project lifecycle management
• Ability to manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, cost reporting and final accounts
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
