Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join one of our partner schools in North Northamptonshire , supporting pupils with complex additional needs .

This is a fantastic temp-to-permanent opportunity for someone who is looking to build a long-term career within a specialist education setting.

The Role

• Providing dedicated 1:1 and/or small-group support to pupils with complex needs
• Supporting pupils with their individual learning and development
• Helping pupils to engage positively with school and classroom activities
• Supporting with personal care and other aspects of day-to-day care where required
• Supporting pupils who may present with challenging or dysregulated behaviour
• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and providing consistent support
• Working closely with teachers and the wider support team to meet individual needs

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs is essential
• Experience within a specialist school, SEN, care or support setting
• Confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• Must have the right to work in the UK for the long term , as this role has the potential to become permanent
• Applicants must have settled status, indefinite leave to remain, British/Irish citizenship or another valid long-term right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available for this position
