Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)

The Role

Are you a Class 1 Driver looking for a position that offers more variety than a traditional driving role?

We're seeking a reliable and motivated HGV Class 1 Driver / Commercial Vehicle MOT Presenter to support a busy commercial vehicle workshop. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day operation of a workshop environment rather than spending all week on the road.

This role combines vehicle movements, MOT presentation, brake testing and workshop support, making it ideal for someone who wants a hands-on position with plenty of variety.

Key Responsibilities

• Present trucks and trailers for MOT testing
• Manage vehicle movements through the MOT lane to ensure an efficient workflow
• Carry out brake testing on commercial vehicles
• Collect and deliver trucks and trailers to local customers
• Load and unload vehicles when required
• Liaise with workshop staff and customers professionally
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and vehicle compliance
• Support the wider workshop operation as required

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) HGV Licence
• Strong awareness of vehicle safety and road transport regulations
• Reliable, professional and self-motivated approach
• Good communication skills and customer-facing experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

• Previous experience working within a commercial vehicle workshop, transport operation or fleet environment
• Experience with vehicle testing, inspections or workshop processes
