Sports Coach

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Sports Coach looking for your next opportunity within a supportive secondary school environment?

Our recruitment agency is currently seeking a committed Sports Coach to join a successful mainstream secondary school based in Oldbury to deliver PE lessons to KS3 and KS4.

The Role

As a Sports Coach, you will work closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting their participation and engagement in physical education and extracurricular sporting activities.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the delivery of engaging sports and physical education activities.
• Working with students of varying abilities and encouraging participation.
• Assisting teachers with PE lessons and practical activities.
• Leading or supporting extracurricular clubs, fixtures and sporting events.
• Promoting teamwork, discipline, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Providing encouragement and motivation to students.
• Supporting students who may require additional encouragement or pastoral support.
• Maintaining a safe, positive and inclusive sporting environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
• Has a genuine passion for sport and physical activity.
• Is confident leading groups of secondary-aged students.
• Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Holds a relevant sports, coaching, education or youth-work qualification (desirable but not essential) .

Experience within a secondary school environment is highly desirable, although candidates with strong coaching or youth-work backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
