gap personnel Exeter are currently recruiting for a Cell Lead for a temp to perm opportunity based on the outskirts of Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter.

You will be joining a team that supplies products into the aerospace, marine and automotive industries . Reporting directly to the Production Team Leader, the purpose of this role is to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your allocated production cell, supporting and guiding the team, assisting with training, and ensuring production, quality and health & safety standards are maintained.

As a Cell Lead, your duties will include:

• Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running and organisation of your production cell.
• Supporting and leading a team of Production Operatives to achieve production targets and deadlines.
• Providing guidance, support, and assistance to team members throughout the production process.
• Assisting with the training and development of new and existing team members.
• Performing assembly operations by following work instructions to manufacture motorsport components.
• Performing test operations in accordance with work instructions.
• Ensuring finished products are packaged and labelled correctly and moved to the dispatch area.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and work instructions.
• Monitoring quality standards and ensuring products meet the required specifications.
• Helping identify and resolve production issues and escalating concerns to the Production Team Leader where appropriate.
• Ensuring the work area is clean, tidy and maintained to a high standard.
• Leading by example and promoting a positive, supportive and productive working environment.
• Carrying out any other reasonable management requests from the Production Team Leader or Supervisor.

About You:

• Previous experience within a production, manufacturing or factory environment is preferable.
• Previous team-leading or supervisory experience would be advantageous.
• A keen eye for detail with good mechanical knowledge and an interest in production.
• Confident supporting and guiding colleagues and helping others develop their skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dynamic, proactive and able to take responsibility.
• Organised and able to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Flexible and willing to carry out a wide-ranging role.
• A positive team player with the ability to lead by example.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, health & safety and productivity.

Working Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Friday, 06:00am – 2:00pm
• £15.35 per hour
