Business & Sales Manager

An established and growing industrial electrical wholesale business is expanding its presence in Sheffield and is looking for a proactive Business & Sales Manager to lead the development of the new operation.
This is a broad commercial role with considerable autonomy. You'll be responsible for developing new business, building customer and supplier relationships and driving sales, while also having the opportunity to shape how the operation develops as it grows.
You'll have the backing of an established 1.7 billion group and the industrial Division Director, but the freedom to make decisions, develop your own approach and take ownership of the results.
The role would suit an experienced B2B sales professional with industrial electrical or mechanical knowledge who is looking for greater responsibility and the opportunity to play a significant part in growing a business.
The Opportunity
As Business & Sales Manager, you'll take ownership of the new Sheffield business. You will:

• Drive sales growth and new business development within the industrial sector
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
• Use your industry knowledge to understand customer requirements and identify commercial opportunities
• Take responsibility for the performance and growth of the business
• Manage and develop the team as the operation grows
• Have involvement across sales, purchasing, logistics, marketing and wider business operations
• Monitor performance against targets and take action to maximise results
• Represent the business within the market and establish a strong local presence
• Have significant autonomy to influence how the business develops

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines industrial sector knowledge with strong commercial and sales ability. You'll need:

• Experience in B2B sales, business development or sales management
• Good knowledge of industrial electrical or mechanical products
• A proven ability to identify, develop and win new business
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
• Commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial approach
• The confidence to work autonomously and make decisions
• Natural leadership qualities
• The ambition to take ownership of growing a business
