Cover Supervisor - Warrington

Cover Supervisor - Warrington | Secondary Schools | Long-Term Opportunities

Looking to build your classroom experience without taking on the full responsibilities of a qualified teacher?

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors in Warrington to work within secondary schools across the area.

Working as a Cover Supervisor in Warrington gives you the opportunity to lead classes when the usual teacher is unavailable. Work will already be provided, so your focus is on keeping pupils engaged, maintaining a productive classroom environment and ensuring students complete the work that has been set.

The role can particularly suit experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates considering teacher training, sports coaches, youth workers and people with previous experience managing groups of young people.

What does a Cover Supervisor do?

You'll supervise lessons across different subjects, explain the work provided by teaching staff, respond to pupil questions where appropriate and use effective behaviour management to keep lessons running smoothly.

You'll need to be confident standing in front of a secondary classroom and comfortable adapting to different pupils, subjects and situations throughout the school day.

What we're looking for:

• Experience working with young people is highly desirable
• Confident communication and classroom presence
• Good behaviour management skills
• Reliability and professionalism
• An interest in education and supporting young people
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

Tradewind can offer access to long-term school opportunities alongside competitive pay, CPD and support from a dedicated education consultant.

If becoming a Cover Supervisor in Warrington sounds like the right next step for you, send your CV or contact Jake to find out more.
