Location: Nottingham

Salary: Up to 16.80ph (35k)

Hours: Mon-Thu 07:30-16:30, Fri 07:30-13:30

Overtime: Time and a half after 40 hours

Start: ASAP

A well-established engineering and fabrication business is looking for a Draughtsperson to produce accurate fabrication and assembly drawings for structural steelwork components. This is a hands-on, workshop-facing role where you'll work closely with engineers, project teams and fabrication/welding teams to ensure designs are production-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed fabrication drawings for steel structures
• Create 3D & 2D models using Autodesk Advanced Steel
• Generate GA drawings, fabrication details, assembly drawings and material schedules
• Liaise with design engineers, project managers and workshop teams to deliver the design intent
• Interpret engineering calculations into production-ready drawings
• Ensure drawings meet internal standards and relevant industry requirements
• Revise/update drawings based on customer requirements and engineering change requests
• Provide technical support during manufacture and support continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Draughtsperson or similar role within the fabrication industry
• Strong Autodesk Advanced Steel experience (essential)
• Experience producing drawings for welded structures and fabricated assemblies
• Good understanding of welding symbols, fabrication techniques and engineering drawings
• Able to interpret technical specifications and documentation
• Strong attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills
