About the Role

We are recruiting a dedicated Housekeeper to join a welcoming 30-bed residential care home in the beautiful Churston area of Brixham.

The home is situated in beautiful surroundings on a golf course , providing a peaceful and attractive environment for residents and staff.

As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the home is kept clean, comfortable and welcoming for residents, visitors and staff.

Working between 18 and 24 hours per week , with shifts available from 8am–2pm or 9am–3pm , you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, including residents' bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms and other shared spaces.

You will become an important part of a dedicated team, helping to create a clean, comfortable and homely environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• · Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
  · Clean residents' bedrooms and communal areas
  · Clean bathrooms, corridors, lounges and other areas of the home
  · Ensure cleaning standards are maintained at all times
  · Follow appropriate cleaning and hygiene procedures
  · Replenish cleaning and household supplies when required
  · Dispose of waste appropriately
  · Help maintain a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment
  · Report any maintenance issues, damage or concerns to the appropriate team member
  · Work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider care team
  · Treat residents, visitors and colleagues with courtesy and respect

Candidate Requirements

• · Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential
  · A reliable, hardworking and committed approach to work
  · Good attention to detail
  · Good communication and interpersonal skills
  · Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  · Ability to work independently when required
  · A friendly, caring and respectful nature
  · A genuine desire to help maintain a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents
