Quality Manager / Document Controller

We are currently looking for a Quality Manager / Document Controller to join a major construction project in Manchester for an initial 6-8 month contract .

This is an office-based, IT and administration-heavy role, focused on ensuring that project quality documentation, records and information are correctly maintained, up to date and readily available.

This is not a traditional site-based auditing or snagging role . The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the project's quality information organised and making sure the required documentation is in place.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining project quality documentation and records
• Ensuring required documentation is uploaded, correctly filed and kept up to date
• Managing information through Sablono
• Monitoring documentation and chasing outstanding information where required
• Maintaining registers, trackers and project records
• Ensuring quality documentation is available for the project team when required
• Supporting the wider site team with document management and administration
• Coordinating information between site teams, subcontractors and the project management team
• Checking that required quality records and supporting documentation are present
• Maintaining an organised and accurate document control system
• Assisting with the collation of handover and completion documentation

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in construction quality, document control or project administration
• Highly organised and comfortable managing large volumes of information
• IT literate with strong Microsoft Office skills
• Comfortable working with document management systems - Sublano experience would be advantageous
• Confident chasing information and keeping people accountable for outstanding documentation
• Detail-oriented and methodical
• Comfortable working predominantly from a site office environment
• Able to work independently and keep on top of multiple document requirements

The key focus of this position is making sure the right information is in the right place, at the right time.
