HR Assistant

Our client, a well-established organisation based in Havant, Hampshire is seeking an HR Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous HR administration experience, but it would also suit a recent HR graduate or an individual studying towards a CIPD qualification who is looking to develop practical HR experience across a broad range of activities.

Working as part of a friendly and collaborative team, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations whilst gaining exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, absence management, HR reporting and compliance.

What will the HR Assistant role involve?

• Providing administrative support across a variety of HR activities, including recruitment, absence management and employee development
• Maintaining accurate employee records, HR databases and compliance documentation in line with GDPR requirements and employment legislation
• Supporting the onboarding process and helping to deliver a positive experience for new starters
• Assisting with employee benefits administration, attendance monitoring and HR reporting
• Producing and analysing HR data to support business decision-making
• Acting as a key point of contact between HR and wider business teams, helping to promote a positive and compliant workplace culture

Suitable Candidate for the HR Assistant vacancy:

• Previous experience within an HR Administrator or HR Assistant role would be advantageous
• A qualification in HR, Business, Psychology or a related discipline would be beneficial
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and HR systems
• A proactive approach with a genuine willingness to learn and develop
• A keen interest in building a long-term career within Human Resources
