KRG are exclusively partnering with an independent communications agency who have recently been acquired to appoint a Senior Account Manager into their growing team as they onboard more clients.

We're looking for an experienced PR professional with a strong background in Corporate Communications , who is ready to take ownership of high-profile client accounts while playing an important role in developing the next generation of talent within the team.
The Opportunity
As Senior Account Manager, you'll take ownership of day-to-day account delivery across a portfolio of clients (retained & project based), acting as a trusted adviser and key client contact.
You'll work closely with senior leadership on strategic communications programmes, bringing strong strategic thinking, excellent media relations skills and a confident, considered approach to corporate communications.
Alongside your client responsibilities, you'll have genuine people-management responsibility, managing and mentoring junior team members including Account Executives and Interns.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of corporate client accounts, taking ownership of day-to-day delivery and client relationships
- Act as a trusted senior point of contact, building strong and lasting relationships with clients
- Provide strategic communications counsel across a range of corporate communications challenges and opportunities
- Develop and execute corporate communications strategies alongside senior members of the team
- Lead media relations activity, identifying relevant journalists and proactively developing opportunities
- Draft, edit and oversee high-quality communications materials including press releases, pitches, briefings, thought leadership and opinion pieces
- Monitor the news and business agenda and provide clients with relevant insight and counsel
- Support clients with corporate reputation, profile-raising and thought leadership programmes
- Work collaboratively with wider teams to ensure excellent client delivery
- Take responsibility for account processes, team workloads and day-to-day delivery
- Support the commercial performance of accounts, including identifying opportunities for growth and maintaining profitability
- Line manage and mentor junior team members, including AEs and Interns
- Set work, provide constructive feedback and support the ongoing development of junior colleagues
- Contribute to recruitment, appraisals and the wider development of the team
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working across Corporate Communications at an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager level
- Strong media relations and communications experience, ideally across business, corporate or reputation-led accounts
- Previous people-management / line-management experience
- Excellent client management and communication skills
- Ability to work confidently across multiple accounts and competing priorities
- Strong writing, editing and strategic communications skills
- Commercially aware, organised and able to take ownership
