SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be recruiting a passionate and nurturing Reception Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Southwark. This full-time maternity cover position will begin in mid-November and offers an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Early Years team dedicated to providing children with an outstanding start to their education.

Role Summary
The successful Reception Teacher will take responsibility for a well-established Reception class, delivering high-quality Early Years provision and fostering a love of learning during this crucial stage of development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons in line with the Early Years Framework
• Create a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment
• Support children's academic, social and emotional development
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider Early Years team
• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations for all learners

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within EYFS, ideally Reception
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Framework
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Pay and Progression
This role is paid on the M1-M6 Inner London Teacher Pay Scale .
As with all teaching positions, pay is determined using the national teacher pay scale . Teachers at the upper end of the advertised range will typically demonstrate strong EYFS experience, excellent teaching practice, a proven track record of pupil progress and the ability to contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
