Actio Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company based in Christchurch who are looking for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator to join their skilled machining team on a permanent day shift.

The Role

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances
• Editing and proving out programs at the machine
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Selecting appropriate tooling and cutting parameters
• Conducting first-off and in-process inspections
• Maintaining quality and productivity standards
• Working closely with the production and quality teams

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator
• Ability to programme directly at the machine
• Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Haas or similar controls advantageous
• Strong knowledge of precision machining techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
• Competent using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges
• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Competitive hourly rate of £19.00 - £22.00 per hour, depending on experience
