Job Title: HGV Technician Location: Walthamstow
Salary: Up to 52.8k Basic + Overtime Shifts: Days Key Responsibilities:
Carry out routine servicing, inspections and repairs across the HGV fleet
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
Complete preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime
Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line with DVSA safety and compliance standards
Assist with MOT preparation and compliance checks
Complete accurate maintenance, service and repair records
Identify potential issues and recommend appropriate repairs
Maintain a high standard of health and safety at all times
Work as part of a professional and supportive workshop team
About You:
The successful HGV Technicianwill ideally have:
NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or an equivalent qualification
Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
A proactive approach to preventative maintenance
A strong understanding of vehicle safety and compliance
A full UK driving licence
HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence would be advantageous
