Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Overview

In this role you will join a large NHS foundation trust to deliver comprehensive obstetrics and gynaecology care across multiple sites. You will help evolve services, contribute to teaching, research and quality improvement, and shape your clinical plan with support for innovation and development. Responsibilities

• Deliver full obstetrics and gynaecology care, including antenatal outpatient care, outpatient hysteroscopy, general gynaecology operating and labour ward activities
• Shape and develop the job plan, clinical services, and contribute to teaching, research and quality improvement
• Engage with innovations and digital health initiatives (e.g., Epic, ambient voice technology, virtual care) and high-standard surgical practice
• Work across cross-site teams with strong senior clinical and executive support
• Support recruitment and retention initiatives and promote a safe, responsive care environment
• Participate in training, research, and continuous professional development

Key requirements

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise
• On or within six months of entry to the GMC Specialist Register for Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G)
• Open to established consultants and senior trainees completing CCT or Portfolio Pathway
