Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor

Overview

In this regional role, you drive health, safety and wellbeing across multi-site construction projects. You will support project teams, promote safety campaigns, and help ensure CDM compliance and robust risk management. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, prepare safety documentation, and contribute to tendering and client-facing assurance. This role offers impact on project culture, safety performance, and regulatory adherence within a well-established construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Model safety leadership and promote a strong safety culture within project teams
• Lead and participate in safety campaigns and initiatives
• Conduct incident investigations and H&S inspections/audits
• Collect, monitor, and report H&S information and statistics
• Assist in training on company and client safety procedures
• Represent the company at H&S meetings and events
• Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements; review subcontractor RA/MS
• Support project teams with ISO/OSH standards and CDM 2015 compliance
• Support H&S aspects of PQQs and tender activities

Key requirements

• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and guidance in construction
• NEBOSH general/construction certificate
• IOSH Environmental training or equivalent
• Experience compiling project H&S plans and documentation
• Strong IT skills with MS Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to influence
• Full clean driving license
• Experience in construction environment
