Environmental Consultant - NALO

Overview

In this role you join Tetra Tech’s NALO team to deliver environmental surveys, assessments and advice across noise, air quality, lighting and odour. You will work with multidisciplinary teams from investigations to reporting and mitigation, building trusted client relationships and growing consultancy services. You’ll apply scientific knowledge to deliver compliant, high-quality projects that improve the built environment. This position offers opportunities to develop technical expertise while contributing to sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver environmental surveys, monitoring, modelling and assessments across NALO disciplines
• Contribute to projects from initial investigations through reporting, planning support and mitigation
• Produce clear, evidence-based reports and proposals for clients
• Manage project resources, budgets, and invoicing to meet deadlines and standards
• Build and maintain client relationships and identify opportunities to win work
• Collaborate across Tetra Tech and promote health, safety and shared objectives

Key requirements

• strong academic background in a scientific discipline
• around 1–2 years’ consultancy experience in a relevant environmental field
• field survey experience desirable
• knowledge of applicable legislation, policy and guidance
• membership of a relevant professional body is advantageous
• full driving licence and willingness to travel
