Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and influence safety colleagues and operations to meet safety objectives
• Build relationships with operational leaders, customers, airport authorities and stakeholders to foster a positive safety culture
• Lead and support the implementation of the site's Safety Management System (SMS) and ensure aviation and UK safety regulation compliance
• Analyse safety performance data, identify trends, and develop improvement plans to reduce risk
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions
• Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments to support compliance across operations

Key requirements

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
• Solid Health & Safety background
• Enjoy data-driven work, identify trends and translate insights into safety improvements
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills at all levels
• Accountability and ownership for safety performance and compliance
• Experience leading, coaching or managing teams and engaging stakeholders
• Experience in logistics, operations, manufacturing, aviation or similarly regulated environments; aviation experience advantageous but not essential
