Project Quantity Surveyor

Overview

As a Project Quantity Surveyor in a Tier 1 contractor’s commercial team, you will lead the commercial management on projects valued at 5m+ from a London base. You will help shape budgets, cash flow, and risk management while coordinating subcontractor packages and contract final accounts. You’ll report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor and work across major commercial, education, and life science schemes, contributing to a strong project pipeline. This role offers hands-on growth, mentoring, and a clear progression path in a high-impact environment.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility for projects valued 5m+
• Establish project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
• Prepare subcontractor tender packages
• Identify contractual risks
• Manage applications for payments
• Prepare and submit variation quotations
• Prepare monthly CVRs
• Prepare, negotiate and agree the main contract final account
• Attend project progress meetings

Key requirements

• Degree educated in a construction related subject
• Live within commutable distance and willing to travel in London
• Experience commercially leading projects valued 5m+ at a main contractor
