Fire & Security Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will act as a technical expert delivering bespoke fire and security solutions for high-profile, national accounts. You’ll survey sites, craft designs and quotations, and collaborate with sales, operations, and account teams to meet client requirements. You help shape projects from consultation to delivery while maintaining strong customer relationships and adhering to industry standards. The position offers autonomy in managing your diary and travel to serve designated areas, with a focus on real value for customers and the business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys across a portfolio of key and national account customers
• Develop bespoke fire and security solutions based on client requirements
• Produce accurate quotations, technical specifications, and supporting documentation
• Create system designs and drawings to support proposed solutions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
• Manage customer expectations and ensure service commitments are delivered on time
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Account Management to support growth
• Ensure designs and recommendations comply with relevant industry standards and legislation
• Manage own diary and travel schedule to support customers across designated area

Key requirements

• Strong technical knowledge across fire and/or electronic security systems
• Good understanding of relevant fire and security industry standards and regulations
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a field-based role
