Client Accountant - Funds (Private Equity)

Overview

In this role you serve as the primary day-to-day contact for fund clients across private equity, real estate, and debt, coordinating fund accounting, reporting, and investor interactions to ensure regulatory compliance. You will manage client deliverables, oversee cash movements, and support process improvements while mentoring teammates. This position sits at the intersection of client service and accurate financial reporting, contributing to the firm’s governance and external reporting standards. You will collaborate with CFOs and controllers to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes that sustain client trust and growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships with designated fund clients as primary front-office contact
• Review quarterly and annual financial statements and fund accounting activities for UK GAAP and IFRS compliance
• Oversee investor drawdown and distribution calculations and communicate/record cash movements
• Own client deliverables by coordinating timelines, monitoring progress, and resolving issues to meet deadlines
• Mentor team members, drive process improvements, and manage stakeholder relationships to achieve client outcomes

Key requirements

• 3+ years in a professional office environment, preferably in financial services or accounting
• ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified (or qualified by experience) or equivalent
• Strong accounting knowledge with experience reviewing working papers and financial statements
• Experience managing client relationships and communicating with stakeholders
• CPD and intermediate Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
• IATI qualification or higher-level qualification (or equivalent)
