Interventional Radiologist

Overview

In this role you will lead interventional radiology across vascular and non-vascular procedures, including EVAR and targeted embolisation, within a large radiology service. You will contribute to a strategic hub for Kent-wide vascular pathways and engage in non-oncological embolotherapy practices such as uterine and prostate embolisations. The role offers opportunities to develop clinical and research interests within a transforming Trust focused on regional vascular and stroke services. You will work closely with cross-site teams and participate in on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including EVAR and targeted embolisation
• Deliver non-oncological embolotherapy (e.g., uterine artery, prostate artery, varicocele, pelvic congestion)
• Support development of the Kent-wide vascular network and associated clinical/research initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-site teams to deliver vascular and stroke services
• Meet on-call commitments and travel between sites
• Contribute to safety, governance, and professional standards in clinical practice

Key requirements

• Medical degree
• Speciality qualification in Clinical Diagnostic Radiology
• General and Vascular CT and MRI reporting
• Ability to take full independent clinical responsibility
• Training and experience in Interventional Radiology with ability to perform EVAR and embolisation
• Full GMC Registration
• English Level 2 (GCSE C or equivalent) or equivalent
• CCST Specialist Registration or will obtain within 6 months of interview date
• On-call commitment and ability to travel between sites
