Client Development Manager

Overview

In this role you will drive long-term partnerships with care homes and healthcare customers, delivering strong retention and commercial results. You will work within the Care Homes team to mobilise services, train staff, and secure ongoing business opportunities in the North East and Scotland. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver training, handle disputes, and present products to customers. This role offers a chance to shape customer success across a growing mission to support vulnerable populations while benefiting from a company car and regional travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of around 40 customers with a focus on budget control, training needs, product presentations and dispute resolution
• Lead retention efforts to achieve 95% Account & Value retention on existing accounts
• Mobilise services by introducing systems, training staff and ensuring ongoing service capability
• Collaborate with KAMs and other divisions (Marketing, CS&D, Product Development, Healthcare, LA, WFF) to develop group opportunities and drive on-going business
• Promote apetito across the Care Homes market through extensive networking and external relationship building
• Support travel across the region and to head office; participate in national events as required
• Deliver training and support to customers to ensure service excellence

Key requirements

• Proven experience of achieving and exceeding targets as an Account Manager
• Experience delivering training
• Consultative, solutions-led sales approach
• Strong commercial acumen to justify a business case
• Strong organisational skills and time management
• Team player with collaborative mindset
• Objections handling focused around financial issues
• Good O Levels / GCSEs for business communication and numerical analysis
• Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills

• Methodical and analytical with a results focus
• Full UK driving licence
