Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will manage costs and commercial activities across projects, supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor and the wider commercial team. You will handle procurement, subcontract management, cost control and reporting to maximise value and quality for customers. The position emphasizes measuring, valuing work, preparing estimates and partnering with stakeholders to monitor programme performance. This is a growth opportunity within a leading power infrastructure contractor, offering hands-on impact in major projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage costs and income within your area of responsibility
• Produce cost reconciliations and commercial reports
• Measure, record and value work in line with procedures
• Build estimates from first principles
• Interpret drawings, specifications and works information
• Support customer and stakeholder management
• Understand and monitor project programmes and commercial performance
• Support procurement activities and subcontract enquiries
• Prepare and review tender documentation
• Manage subcontractor relationships and agreements
• Support supply chain performance and value delivery

Key requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
• CSCS Academically/Professionally Qualified Person Card
• MRICS, MCIOB, MCInstCES, or working towards professional membership
