Customer and Trading Manager - Convenience

Overview

In this role you ensure store operations run smoothly with day-to-day leadership, often as the sole on-site manager. You work with a small management team to deliver efficient, safe customer service and coach your team to sustain performance. You’ll lead operational tasks, manage people issues, and support scheduling and pay accuracy. Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and ensure smooth performance
• Lead the team and, when needed, act as the primary on-site manager
• Coordinate customer service delivery, safety, and efficiency
• Manage performance, conduct disciplinaries, and handle employee relations
• Ensure scheduling accuracy and payroll integrity
• Support adjacent stores when required in a network of convenience stores

Key requirements

• Track record of delivering excellent customer service and coaching others
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with demonstrated motivation and performance improvement
• Operational leadership responsibility in the absence of senior managers
• Proven ability to meet or exceed KPIs (sales, availability, customer satisfaction, colleague engagement)
• Experience managing employee relations issues including performance and absence management
