People Systems & Insights Lead (Workday)

Overview

In this role you own the end-to-end reporting and analytics landscape, shaping what is measured and how it reaches stakeholders. You will connect Workday data to other systems in Power BI, enabling HR, Finance, and leadership to answer questions quickly. You’ll build a scalable data foundation that supports AI-driven reporting and self-service analytics. This is a hands-on senior role that balances strategic direction with delivery to meet urgent requests.

Responsibilities

• Own reporting strategy and retire underutilized metrics; propose higher-value alternatives
• Design, build, and maintain Workday reports and dashboards (advanced, matrix, composite, fields)
• Develop and optimize Discovery Boards, People Analytics content, and Worksheets; drive adoption
• Enable self-service reporting; design data that answers future questions and train stakeholders
• Build and maintain cross-system data flows between Workday and other sources, including Power BI models
• Lay scalable, well-governed data foundations for AI tooling; ensure data quality and security
• Automate recurring reporting (RaaS, scheduled deliveries) and handle BAU requests to improve processes

Key requirements

• Expertise in Workday reporting (Advanced, Matrix, Composite reports; Calc Fields; Worksheets; Discovery Boards)
• Power BI report and data model development; combine Workday with other sources
• Strong understanding of Workday data structures and organizational design
• Experience in Workday security (domain, business process, report-level security; sensitive data access)
• Ability to collaborate with HR, Finance, and stakeholders; focus on usability and data quality
• Judgment to challenge requests and propose better solutions; capable of rapid turnaround for urgent needs
