In this role you will partner with senior leadership at Synthomer to provide insightful financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis. You will support budgeting, long-term planning and board-ready reporting, helping executives steer the group’s strategy. You’ll work across divisions to identify trends and risks, drive efficiency, and leverage analytics to enhance decision-making. This is a high-visibility position at a global HQ with a focus on shaping the financial direction of the business.

Responsibilities
Support annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term strategic planning processes
Analyze performance across multiple divisions to identify trends, opportunities and risks
Partner with finance leaders and budget owners to challenge assumptions and improve decisions
Deliver meaningful commentary and reporting for senior leadership
Provide analysis for Board presentations, Executive reviews and investor reporting
Identify efficiency opportunities and support cost optimisation initiatives
Utilize advanced analytics, automation and AI to improve reporting and planning processes
Contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement projects
Key requirements
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
Experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Audit or similar analytical finance role
Strong financial modelling and forecasting capabilities
Advanced Excel skills and excellent PowerPoint presentation skills
Ability to translate complex financial information into concise, actionable insights
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Exceptional attention to detail and an inquisitive approach
