Overview

As Digital Workplace & Microsoft Platforms Lead, you own the Microsoft estate across IAG Loyalty, guiding strategy while staying close to ground truth. You will drive transformation of Microsoft 365, Entra, endpoint management, collaboration, identity, security, and emerging productivity tools like Copilot. You’ll lead workspace initiatives, ensure secure, resilient services, and shepherd major programs to successful delivery. A hands-on leader, you’ll mentor a blended team and tackle challenges directly to add measurable value.

Responsibilities

Define and drive the technical direction, roadmap, and operational performance for the Digital Workplace and Microsoft platform estate
Lead a blended team of internal specialists, contractors and strategic partners with clear accountability
Manage major Microsoft and workplace technology programmes and safeguard delivery quality, resources, and supplier performance
Act as a technical authority across Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, Defender, Purview, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, endpoint management and identity governance
Champion automation, telemetry and AI-enabled operations to improve colleague experience and reduce manual effort
Make key commercial and operational decisions on budgets, licences, and managed services
Challenge architecture and security decisions, set standards and get into the detail when required
Shape the function's evolution, including potential expansion of the service desk into this area
Balance colleague experience with risk and cost while delivering tangible value

Key requirements

Strong Microsoft technical depth in enterprise settings (M365, Digital Workplace, EUC)
Broad knowledge of Microsoft stack and how components interrelate (Entra, endpoint management, Office/O365, security, Copilot)
Proven track record leading large Microsoft or Digital Workplace programmes with roadmaps and delivery recovery
Experience with automation, telemetry, AI-enabled operations, and improving service performance
Experience leading blended teams and managing budgets, licences, and supplier performance
Hands-on leadership style with willingness to engage technically and own issues
Comfort working across Technology, Security, Data Protection and business stakeholders
