Senior Consultant (Bus Advisory)

Overview

In this role you will support the delivery of bus operations, network planning and ticketing/information projects across the UK. You’ll liaise directly with clients to capture requirements, deliver technical solutions, and help win new business while contributing to cross‑sector(public transport) initiatives. The position offers hybrid working and opportunities to develop skills on demanding, innovative projects within a supportive, growth‑minded consultancy. You will work with a multi‑disciplinary team to shape transport solutions and drive impact.

Responsibilities

• Support technical delivery of bus operations, network planning and ticketing/information projects
• Direct liaison with clients to confirm requirements and ensure needs are met
• Deliver technical solutions individually or as part of a team
• Discuss future requirements with clients and contribute to securing new business
• Engage in personal development to stay at the forefront of techniques and technologies
• Support other sectors within the division on wider transport planning and business cases
• Project management and proposal management responsibilities
• Support business development initiatives and communicate client/project objectives
• Quality assure models for investment/transaction decisions
• Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations

Key requirements

• Degree in a relevant subject or Masters in Transport Planning, or equivalent experience
• Significant bus operations experience including network planning and commercial skills
• Experience delivering ticketing and/or information projects
• Direct client work including on-site secondments
• Strong report and proposal writing skills
• Established relationships with public and private sector clients
• Flexibility to juggle competing project demands
