In this role you support the Head of Finance Systems and the Finance team to deliver finance systems, process and data transformation. You act as a bridge between Finance, Technology and Data to translate requirements into scalable solutions. You will map end-to-end finance systems, support the Finance Systems strategy, and help evolve the Finance Systems Blueprint and target operating model. You will drive process simplification, automation and data governance to enable reliable, scalable reporting and controls. This is an impact-oriented opportunity to shape the finance data landscape and system capabilities at scale.
Responsibilities
Serve as a liaison between Finance, Technology and Data teams to translate requirements into practical solutions
Develop and maintain knowledge of the end-to-end Finance systems landscape, including architecture, data flows, integrations and reporting dependencies
Support Finance Systems strategy by performing business analysis, requirements definition, process design and implementation support
Contribute to the Finance Systems Blueprint by documenting current state, identifying gaps and aiding target-state design
Identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate manual activities, strengthen controls, and improve scalability
Define detailed business requirements, process maps, user stories, data requirements and implementation inputs for transformation initiatives
Support the development of Databricks as the single source of truth for Finance data, including governance and reporting needs
Identify and coordinate resolution of data issues to improve data quality and usability
Review Finance integrations and suggest ownership, monitoring, resilience, and performance improvements
Collaborate with Finance, Technology, Data, Procurement, HR and vendors to deliver system, data, reporting and process improvements
Support optimisation of NetSuite and Concur including capabilities, controls, reporting, integrations and vendor roadmaps
Identify opportunities to enhance Procure-to-Pay, travel and expense processes, automation, analytics and reporting while reducing manual reconciliations
Assist with testing, implementation, stakeholder adoption, benefits tracking, governance and continuous improvement for finance technology investments
Key requirements
Background in the Insurance industry
Experience as a Business Analyst across Finance systems, data transformation or process improvement
Strong knowledge of finance processes, controls, reporting, integrations and data flows
Skilled in requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation and stakeholder management
