Family Associate Solicitor

Overview

In this role, you join a Southampton family law team focused on high-net-worth matrimonial finance and complex private law children matters. You will build and manage your own caseload while supporting senior colleagues on significant cases, delivering excellent client care and sound case management. The role combines hands-on legal work with opportunities to contribute to departmental growth and business development. You will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, shaping strategy and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage your own caseload in family law matters
• Support on high-profile cases in the department
• Provide exceptional client care and clear communication
• Maintain strong case management and attention to detail with strategic oversight
• Collaborate with team to drive departmental growth and business development
• Work autonomously when needed and actively contribute to team initiatives

Key requirements

• Post-qualification experience across divorce, financial remedy (including trusts, business assets, foreign assets and pensions), cohabitation, nuptial agreements, and private children matters
