In this role you will drive industrial costing for new products and processes within the PME scope, partnering with Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain and Quality to ensure accurate Make-or-Buy assumptions and a validated workload plan. You’ll keep cost references up to date and run analyses to support bids and project decisions. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position that shapes cost efficiency and industrial improvement initiatives. You will contribute to sustainable mobility solutions from Derby with a data-driven approach.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data for costing activities
Define and maintain the PME workload plan based on S&OP demand
Update and maintain industrial costs within the Reference Library
Conduct targeted analyses (e.g., Time Spent vs. Method Time)
Support the Industrial Improvement plan implementation
Costing activities across scenarios: new product, new process, tender phase, Make-or-Buy decisions, activity transfers, major changes
Key requirements
Experience or understanding of industrial costing processes (fixed/variable costs, quality, supply chain)
Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and cost structure analysis
Proficiency in cost estimation tools and MS Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Collaborative with data-driven stakeholder influence
