Quantity Surveyor

Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage financial and commercial control on a high-profile education project in Essex for a leading Main Contractor. You will sit within a regional team, supporting delivery across a £76m new build school and future regional schemes. The role involves procurement, contract administration, and maintaining strong client and supply-chain relationships to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and promote early issue resolution to uphold quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial and commercial control of the project
• Lead Sub Contractor procurement and subcontract orders
• Contract administration and handling payments and notices
• Maintain real-time reporting and progress tracking
• Coordinate with client and supply chain relationships
• Ensure regional and company procedures are followed
• Manage valuations, variations, and contract documents
• Support line manager and cross-functional team to achieve delivery goals
• Maintain subcontract procurement schedule and collateral warranty tracker
• Tackle issues early and promote resolutions
• Other duties aligned with company objectives

Key requirements

• Tier one Main Contractor experience
• DFE School experience preferred
