Royalty Auditor

Overview

In this role you will plan and execute royalty audits for licensees across major brands, working closely with the Audit Division, Brand Managers, and clients. You will draft audit reports and support clients in settlements, applying solid accounting principles and ensuring compliance. The position reports to the SVP Audit Services and may require international travel. This role blends independent initiative with teamwork to deliver accurate, timely audit outcomes. You’ll contribute to a growing, cross-border auditing function within a leading brand-management arm of a global agency.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures to conduct licensee audits
• Co-develop and manage client-specific audit plans with Audit Division, Brand Managers, and clients
• Independently handle audits for multiple brands within the portfolio
• Collaborate with Legal, Contract Administration and Royalty Management to assess contractual implications
• Coordinate with US and UK brand functions to identify, schedule, and perform licensee audits

Key requirements

• At least 3 years of royalty audit experience in licensing (brand, entertainment, music, sports, publishing)
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Strong analytical capabilities and excellent verbal and written communication
• Bachelor in Accounting; willingness to travel up to 35% internationally
• ACA or equivalent qualification preferred but not required
