Pensions Actuarial Consultant - Nationwide

Overview

In this role you will deliver tailored actuarial advice to trustees and corporates, focusing on DB pension schemes. You’ll collaborate with funding, investment, risk transfer and covenant specialists to provide integrated solutions. You will lead client meetings, review actuarial calculations, and guide project direction and resources. Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and presentations
• Provide tailored advice based on client circumstances
• Apply strong actuarial techniques to client discussions
• Communicate clearly and succinctly with clients
• Act as final technical reviewer for actuarial calculations
• Set strategy, direction and resourcing for client work
• Supervise and mentor junior staff or provide feedback on client work
• Participate in setting and negotiating fees and monitoring budgets

Key requirements

• Fully qualified Actuary/ nearing qualification
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage projects and allocate work to juniors
• Solid understanding of UK pension schemes operations
