Area Manager -Pathways for Progression (CXK)

Overview

In this role you lead the Pathways for Progression project in Hastings, empowering young people aged 15–18 to build confidence, leadership and inclusive routes to education, work and training. You will coordinate delivery across three connected strands, manage the project team, budgets and reports, and ensure outcomes are achieved. You will strengthen employer engagement to improve career pathways and inclusive recruitment for local young people. This is a mission-driven opportunity to shape youth opportunities and collaborate with cross-sector partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery across three strands of the Pathways for Progression project
• Manage and support the project team and stakeholder relationships
• Oversee budgets, performance, evaluation and funder reporting
• Lead engagement with local employers to improve career pathways
• Support businesses and young people to work together on opportunities and inclusive recruitment
• Ensure activities deliver defined outcomes and impact
• Champion genuine youth leadership and involvement in priorities and approaches
• Develop and maintain partnerships to test ideas and scale impact

Key requirements

• Experience managing multi-strand delivery projects
• Proven ability to build effective partnerships and stakeholder networks
• Track record translating ideas into structured activities with measurable impact
• Strong project management, budgeting, evaluation and reporting skills
• Commitment to youth leadership and inclusive opportunities for young people
