As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will own the commercial and contractual delivery of a major Data Centre project. You will interface with the Client's commercial teams, manage procurement and subcontractors, and lead cost, risk, and change control activities. The role sits within a global engineering contractor with a track record in complex, high-spec projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve commercial objectives and support project performance against budget and schedule. Responsibilities
Own and manage commercial and contractual requirements through the project lifecycle
Interface with the Client's Commercial and Contract teams
Procurement management, including subcontractor engagement
Conduct cost and risk analysis
Review correspondence from Employer/Design Team/subcontractors and address critical contractual matters
Manage commercial aspects of subcontractor packages
Prepare and manage costing, margin, and cashflow reporting
Oversee change control procedures and cost agreements with the client
Support the wider project team to meet commercial objectives
Monitor performance against budget, programme, and contract requirements
Key requirements
Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline
5+ years' experience as Project QS or Senior QS
Experience on large-scale construction or engineering projects
Strong civil engineering experience
Experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering environments
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Ability to prioritise workload and meet demanding deadlines
Confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels
Strong subcontractor and client management skills
Ability to work as part of a high-performing project team
