Overview

In Howden's Strategic Data & Analytics team, you will support and extend live analytical products used by colleagues and clients to drive better decisions. You will own the delivery process, backlog, and governance, while contributing to new product initiatives and reusable components. The role sits in a business-embedded analytics team that collaborates closely with consultants and client directors, not a traditional IT function. Location is flexible, with remote or office options. You will work across a modern stack to build impactful analytics solutions in a fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities

Support live analytical products and users: triage questions, handle changes, and schedule work
Own the delivery process: manage backlog in Azure DevOps, enforce change and release discipline, run governance
Maintain governance-related documentation and evidence
Contribute to building new products and reusable components, libraries, and templates
Contribute to developing the team's internal delivery and deployment platform
Collaborate with consultants and client directors to align analytics work with business needs

Key requirements

Consulting mindset with ability to solve a variety of problems
Ability to help decision-makers through data, analytics, and visualization
Strong ownership and record-keeping; responsive to requests
Comfort with uncertainty, speed, and incomplete information
Experience in a distributed team and cross-functional collaboration
Proficient in Python; familiarity with Shiny or similar UI framework, Quarto or similar tooling, Git, and Azure DevOps
Ability to read, write, debug, and explain code without AI coding agents
