In this role you will manage the Global Banks portfolio within FI Credit, shaping lending strategies and leading complex credit decisions. You will collaborate with Coverage and Product teams to enable sustainable client relationships, mentor junior staff, and drive risk-aware growth. Responsibilities

Oversee Global Banks portfolio including intragroup subsidiaries
Recommend on complex new transactions and lending/trading limit requests
Design sector strategies, policies and processes
Exercise delegated credit authority and make decisions
Lead client due diligence meetings
Model and mentor junior team members; review submissions for senior sanctioners
Collaborate with Coverage and Product teams; support cross-portfolio FI initiatives
Promote risk management and sustainable business growth across front line

Key requirements

Significant experience in credit risk assessment of Global Banks
Knowledge of sector trends, horizon risks and regulation
Excellent knowledge of lending and traded products and documentation
Held senior Credit Authority in past roles
Led client due diligence meetings
Formal Credit training preferred
Track record in independent decision making and concise communication
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships using influencing and negotiating skills
Passion for change, automation and simplification
